Our Chalk about Mental Health Campaign began in September of 2019 in partnership with Dare County Department of Health & Human Services.

 

Dare County Board of Commissioners kicked off the campaign by decorating the sidewalk outside of their meeting room and declaring September Suicide Prevention Awareness Month in Dare County.

We we overwhelmed by the individuals, organizations, and families that participated in the initiative.  Participants used sidewalk chalk to create art and spread messages of hope, support, and encouragement in public areas.
